How good does that fringe look?! [Photo: Rex]
Today, the Duchess of Cambridge has made her first solo appearance since giving birth to Princess Charlotte at the start of May, giving us a proper look at her new fringe.
Since she debuted it while driving to church with Prince William on Sunday, it’s all anyone’s been talking about.

The Duchess went gone for a choppy and face-framing fringe, which parts in the centre and seems to be a nod to the type of hairstyle that sixties sirens rocked.
And now today, out of her car, we can see just how gorgeous Kate’s new ‘do looks. Blow-dried to perfection, with the rest of her hair loose in its signature waves, it framed her face beautifully and softened her rather severe Ralph Lauren frock.

At £1,245, the houndstooth print shirtdress is a lot pricier than some of the outfits K Mid rocks – but clearly the Duchess wanted to return to work after her maternity leave with panache.
And it certainly showed off her enviable post-baby body, thanks to the accompanying skinny black belt that cinched in her teeny tiny waist.
She teamed her dress with sensible black heels and a simple black clutch.
The visit Kate made was to the Anna Freud Centre in London, showing the Duchess’ continued support for children’s mental health charities.
Her Twitter account (the one she shares with Wills and Harry) documented her visit, tweeting, “The Duchess views @AFCevents plans for a new centre of excellence bringing leaders in mental health work together.”

While the Duchess has been at a couple of events since welcoming Charlotte, this is the first time she’s flown solo at a royal engagement as a mum of two.
We’ll be seeing a bit more of Kate in the coming weeks – she’s set to attend the opening ceremony of the Rugby World Cup in Twickenham tomorrow, with Princes William and Harry in tow, and has several other events lined up over the coming weeks – including attending a screening of the new James Bond film. We’re not jealous at all.
